In March 2019, JSC "Informacinė raida" has just implemented a project, research and development activities carried out within the framework of which was result in the development of an innovative educational simulation model of operation and effectiveness assessment of a port and development of competences. The project was funded by Regional Development Fund under the measure of „Intelektas. Bendri mokslo–verslo projektai“ (Program 2014-2020 European Union Investment in Lithuania).
JSC "Informacinė raida" was acting as the project promoter in cooperation with its partner „Lithuanian Maritime academy“.
The goal of the project was development of an educational simulation model of operation and effectiveness assessment of a port and education of competences based on practical training with the use of simulation environment. By using this model, qualified specialists capable of improvement of the quality of port services can be trained. The implementation of the project allow updating of training programs for higher education establishments and training centers, application of the latest training methods and methodologies in training. During the project, conditions for development of products (services) tailored to stevedoring companies, effective assessment and improvement of competences and profiling process of staff was created, thus enabling cost saving and assurance of the quality of port services.
The duration of the project was 24 months.

JSC "Informacinė raida" was the first company in the Baltic States to develop and install process management system designed for seaport logistic companies. Upon accumulation of huge experience in this field and having gained an insight into the problems related with assessment and development of seaport staff's competences, the company decided to invest into research and development activities in order to develop an educational simulation model of operation and effectiveness assessment of a port and development of competences.
